The Himalaya chain is spread southeast to northwest across the Asian continent. What is called the ‘Indian Himalayas’ is that part of the Himalayan chain which lies within Indian Territory.
At around 6 a.m. tea will be brought to you in your tent. The day's walk will typically begin after breakfast at 7 a.m. and you will walk for six or seven hours on average each day. Packed lunches will be served en route each day at a picturesque spot.
In the afternoon, porters will travel ahead and set up camp, so everything will be ready for you when you arrive at around 3 or 4 p.m. Dinner will be served early to make the most of the last light of evening.
